This is InPhase’s experimental system in downtown Toronto. We use this system to test the effects of shading from real world sources like the chimney, as well as artificial sources like the stripes of masking tape seen in this image. The 40º pitch of the roof allowed the panels to be flush-mounted. Space between the roof and the panels is left to promote air flow, cooling the panels.
