Dramaturgy Coach

I started teaching Salsa Dura in 1996, and have been a Dramaturgy Coach since 2001.

Dramaturgy is the art of dramatic composition and theatrical representation. In other words, it is the shaping of a story into a form that may be acted. Dramaturgy workshops support participants in the development of a storyline that can be used not only in theatre but, through combining tools from different performing techniques, to improve many aspects of our daily lives. When we develop a storyline as a supporting element, we increase the likelihood of success. Furthermore, we actively participate in shaping our lives.

We will use performance tools to gradually heighten awareness and the ability to use and read the subtext present everywhere to practice a pro-active life as opposed to a re-active one. Miko’s 40 years of experience in theatre, dance and social work will be applied directly in these workshops.
